When I survey the Upper West Region, gazing east, west, north, and south, I see beyond the facade of poverty and underdevelopment. I see a vibrant hub of human potential, teeming with talented and industrious youth, and a land rich in untapped resources – both human and natural. Alas, jealousy, pride, and greed have clouded the vision of many, rendering them oblivious to the treasures within. We fail to appreciate our own strengths, refusing to believe in ourselves, and thereby deny each other the unity and support we so desperately need.
This creates an opportunity for outsiders to exploit our potential, leaving us bereft of our riches.
Few nations are better endowed than we are; our capabilities span every sphere, yet we are fragmented by greed, personal ambition, and envy.
We look beyond our borders, across the Volta, seeking validation and success, as if our own backyard holds no promise. It's as if our minds are programmed to look outward, our vision impaired by a peculiar affliction that blinds us to our inner wealth.
Talents abound, yet envy surges like an ocean, eroding our shores and pillaging our prosperity. The waves of discontent crash against our shores, yet we remain enthralled by the spectacle.
Oh, to see beyond our shadows, to envision our own potential turning to follow us, as we strive to expand our horizons!
